bought daughter 1st car, used 626, good condition. belts made whining noise upon starting; found local mechanic, he adjusted tensioner, whining stopped. he noticed motor mounts broken, agreed to have 'em replaced. drove vehicle home, got to the stop light, cars starts vibrating, kept shaking while driving, but not that noticeable. got home, 10 miles away, car shaking very visible, steering wheel vibrating. took car back to mechanic, said mounts could be defective, changed 2 mounts, vehicle continues to shake. any advice please. Thanks

 

If it's an automatic, you've got 1 of the worst tranny's out there. Due to this tranny, the Mazda 626 is the 9th worst vehicle.
Your car is also 15 years old with a gazillion miles on, what did you expect?
