Need the exact location of the Back-up Light Switch?

 

Do not have a dedicated back-up light switch on the 90 929. Back up lights are supplies power thru a branch off of the inhibitor switch on the transmission. The inhibitor switch is located on the right hand or passenger side of the transmission, just above and fairly centered on the transmission oil pan. The wire that is Red w/ Green stripe is the one that should have 12 volts only in reverse and supplies power back to the back-up lights.

I discovered a break in the wire (red w/green strip) where it loops/attached to the left-side trunk-hinge area.
