I'm a newbie to the forum and to Mazda's. Bought my 626 has 90000 miles great car great shape. Knock control is cooked was wondering if you guys know where I can get one or how to put in an aftermarket. This is a super car and don't want to get rid of it but cannot locate one anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.

 

What do you mean by cooked? Cant you just buy a new knock sensor? Genuine or aftermarket?

 

The knock sensor yes but I need the knock control, and I can't locate one anywhere and can't find an aftermarket that cross references up.

 

Sorry when I say cooked the circuit board in it is bad.

 

Have any luck? I just picked up a 86 gt too. The previous owner bypassed the knock controller with something else. I don't have the details but I can take A picture for you. Although I feel that it might be what is causing my no start issue now

 

He is a pic of what the prev owner did. I have no other details. But if anyone knows what this is and how to find a replacement I would like to know
