Can anyone vouch for added performance K&N on these cars? I'm always skeptical about claims on HP... I just purchased a 14' Mazda 6 last week and want to upgrade...

My advice and opinion to your question is a simple one. Your car is BRAND NEW Wait awhile until these aftermarket stuff has a chance to be tested and really approved in your new car.

I have a CAI on mine and have had it for years, but frankly if there was any difference at all, it was a minor (imperceiveable) one.... certainly not worth the cost, IMO.
What I like most about it is that it cleans up the engine bay a bit and looks nice.
What I like least about it (CAI) is removing and cleaning the filter.

I did put in a cold air intake a short while back. I notice a small improvement in power towards the top end. The sound is nice too. Unfortunately, my wife isn't a big fan of the extra sound. I have it up for sale in the classifieds. At least for now. If it doesn't sell, I may keep it..
