im getting a magnaflow cat back later on this week.
it has a nice deep, throaty sound with none of that riceness, or so im told.
im getting mine for $445 plus taxes, but im also installing the system myself.

I like my Mazdaspeed exhaust. No issues with it and I've had it on for probably 38,000 miles thus far.

i think when it comes to mazda exhaust system its really based on personal preference plus the budget that willing to spend.. what may sound good to others may not to you. there are magnaflow, flowmaster, borla and lots more.. personally, I had a magnaflow installed on one of my car and it works great.. :)

magnaflow is around $500... while the HKS unit i was originally gonna get was $800...
and theres still Vibrant, Racingbeat,or you can have a exhaust custom made, and get a muffler u really like

hey m3baby. i have a custom catback exhaust system. looks/sounds great, just as good performance results as the expensive name brand stuff, and its much cheaper.

the install was relatively easy.
all you have to do is cut the exhaust about 4inches after the second cat, and then possibly near the rear axle.
and then the install on the magnaflow was just a matter of bolting up some clamps. it helps if you have a hoist, then you can have some below checking for leaks when you start it up.......

my friend installed his magnaflow on his jetta in his driveway.
you can do it that way, but if you have access to a hoise, USE IT!!
