Default Windshield washer problems?

Both my 2014 6 and my wife's 2014 CX-5 have the same problem. The windshield washer keeps freezing up below 20 degrees. The only way to get them to work again is to poor hot water on the nozzles, but they will re-freeze within minutes. It is driving us nuts because of the recent snow storms, there is salt everywhere and the windshield is covered within minutes.

My wife said that a co-worker with a new CX-5 also has this problem.

We are about to run out of the factory fluid, so I am hoping the purple stuff will work better than what was included in the factory. Anyone else had this problem?

Nope, no issue for me. It's been in the mid 30's C / 90'F where I am.

have you tried the -50 Celsius washer fluid? Putting water onto an already frozen line may be part of the problem a temporary fix but if you don't get it all off it will freeze again. If its freezing at the spray point get some deicer and clean it off.

you can look into getting a one way valve for the washer line
