Post Timing Belt replacement

I have a 1999 Mazda B2500 4 cylinder with a busted timing belt. I have everything pulled off up to the the a/c unit and power steering pump on left side of engine(sitting in seat). I'm having the most trouble taking the timing belt shield off. Any ideas besides pulling all the extra stuff off?

I am replacing the water pump hoping it will solve my heat problem. I've already replaced the thermostat and sending units for gauge. I also ran water through the heater core making sure it was clear.

Any ideas/suggestions would be great. Thanks

You mean the main one as the one the fan is on? If so I have that one off.

the fan should be on the water pump pulley. the main pulley is the one at the bottom of the motor.
