timing belt

Unhappy timing belt

please help im confused i have tried for 3 days to figure out the timing belt settings for a mazda 626 1999 4cyl i dont have money for a mechanic or to order a manual please anything helps any info would be geatly appreciated

If your number 1 cylinder is at top-dead-center and both valves are closed on cylinder 1 and your distributor is pointing at the number 1 cylinder spark plug, then you're in the right ballpark. At this point, you should see some type of marks on your pulleys that align with marks on your new timing belt.
