Starts, runs 1or2 seconds then dies...plugs soaked
Hi, anybody know what could cause so much fuel upon start that engine drowns out after about a second and a half of running. '93 Mazda 626 2.5 L. Good spark, soaked spark plugs. More details on my thread in the 626 area in this website....same title

You might have a bad injector. Which plugs are soaked? If it is just 1 plug, that is the injector that is bad. Injectors are fairly easy to do and cheaper that most important parts I think they are as low as $30 a injector. Try that and see if it helps.

bad fuel pressure regulator. remove the vacuum line from it and check. if you can see any fuel coming out of the tube, the regulator is bad.
