SEAT BELT NOT RETRACTING

Has anyone else had problems with there seat belt not retracting in their Mazda 3after use? It's always been a problem since day one I know I should take it to the dealer but I figured I would just deal with it but now the problem is worse and the belt doesn't retract at all, the other day I closed my door with the seat belt laying on jam and it scratched the painted surface of the inner door jam. I guess part of that is my fault for not watching what I was doing, stupid me.

That sounds like a potential safety issue as slack belts can really injure an occupant of the vehicle in the event of an accident. I cannot recommend strongly enough that you get those belts looked at.

Shipo,

The seat belt works fine when it"s applied, it locks and holds it position when you tug on it or if you stop quick. Only when I take it off that it doesn't retract back up.
