RE: retrieving codes?
I know what your talking about, I was shown how to do it but I am still a little fuzzy on the details all I do know is that you get some kind of wire or conectors that can be conect on that little turmale under your stearing wheel I think. Um had to say because I was shown so long ago. I know how to do it on my 323 but I am not sure on that on. I'll look it up and see if I can find some more info for yah.
I think I know how to do it I just need to tell you where to do this at. I'll get back to you on it. |
RE: retrieving codes?
Under the hood at the passenger rear corner you want to find a Green colored one pin connector. Short this wire to ground and turn the key to 'RUN' position. The MIL should start flashing a one or two digit code. A code 09 would be 9 short flashes followed by a 4 sec pause and then will repeat. If a two digit code then the first series of long flashes will be the first digit and second set of short flashes would be the second digit (ie 3 long flashes followed by 4 short would be a code 34 ). How many miles are on your truck? There is also a maintenance reminder that turns on the MIL every 60k and 80k miles. You will not be able to output any codes if reminder switch has been tripped.
