Reconditioned G6 engine has noisy lifter or Valve
I have just picked up my 98 Mazda B2600 4x4 ,after a reconditioned engine was installed and everything seems great but, there is the sound of noisy lifters or valves. The mechanic told me that this is normal and would disappear as the engine is run in and everything settles down.
Can anyone tell me if this sounds correct as i would have thought that there should be no noise.

All good I found out, from experienced sources that the new lifters need to bleed and the sound that i hear is typical, of the lifters, until the new lifters have bleeded.
This noise should be gone within the week so, i will wait to see or should i say hear.

Solved
You will never believe it but after a week of driving to work with this lifter sound I dropped back into my mechanic and within 3 minutes he picked up that there was a small crack on the exhaust header, which i am now happy to replace at a cost of $210.
