Please help, I've run out of ideas.
I have a 2011 Mazda 3s 2.5cylinder 6 speed manual. I think my problem is the tps sensor. When I am going down the road at regular speed I will push the throttle to the floor and my rpm's will climb 500-1000 rpm and then come back down after that it will start to gain speed. My gas mileage went from 26 mpg to 17 so it was cut by more than half and it doesn't have the power that it use to. Like I said I think it's the tps but before I bought the part I wanted to get any opinions on it.

that's what I thought at first too but I can downshift all day and not once has it slipped or anything.
Well that sucks, it's $500 for a new clutch
Try a early upshift and floor it. Example, make a 2-4 shift where you would normally do your 2-3 shift. Put some fuel to the motor and you'll be able to tell if the clutch is grabbing like it should, or if the RPM's wind up with no road speed increase. You can also try engaging the clutch from a stop slightly quicker than you normally do. Slips will show up this way too.
With Mazda's redundant throttle, if one of the TP sensors were bad, the check engine light would pop on and put the vehicle in 'Limp" mode. Just enough power to get you off the road safely.
