Please help!! Coolant / Anti-Freeze Question MX-5

Hi everyone,

I took my new Mazda MX-5 for a service to a reputable garage this afternoon for a check up.

When I collected the car they told me that they have put neat (!) anti-freeze into the coolant resorvoir.

Now - I know this garage has never let me down before - and they have a good name etc. - but now I'm worried that neat anti-freeze will damage the coolant tube and/or radiator.

Can anyone provide any advice? Will this now damage my car?

Thanks

Aaron

Ummm, what is "neat anti-freeze"?

NEAT anti freeze

what what ive gathered,(co workers, internet) its straight anti freeze thats not deluted.the 50/50 mix protects to -40C so it would be a waist to use NEAT (?)anti freeze.i dont see how it would hurt if thats the case.sound like they went above and beyond.

Have they used FL22 coolant? how old is you mx5? if its an NC 3rd edition then it will be FL22 coolant that must go into your coolant system , if other coolant is used it could damage the system.

Thanks

Thank you for the replies. No problems reported with the MX5 since I posted on here - so I don't think it's an issue.
