Default Painting Front Mazda Emblem

New CX-5 on the way. I would like to make the front chrome Mazda emblem black. I understand that the front radar element is directly behind that emblem. Can anyone offer any wisdom about doing this? I would assume using matallic paint would maybe be bad. I could use tape, or vinly or paint. Obviously don't want to interfere with the radar function. Thanks for your comments.

It won't affect it. Even vinyl (3m) wrapping will not affect it. I don't know about none vinyl paints because I have personal painted an emblem with them. Buty the other 2 fine!

Thank you for your speedy reply. Do you happen to know if the front emblem comes off and separates from the grill or molded all into one piece. 2023 CX-5.

To remove glued on emblems, such as the rear deck, is the hair dryer and dental floss method still what is recommended? And to remove residual adhesive, use goo-gone or mineral spirts or an eraser wheel on a drill? Looking for inut, thanks

The front grill is different from a body part like hood, truck lid or Hatch panel emblem for removing it I would not recommend using heat on a plastic grill.

Thanks for your reply, and I'm sure I was not very clear. I mean the emblems glued onto the rear hatch. I want to remove them. Maybe make the CX-5 black and put it back on?

Ok I just read the front Chrome emblem in your opening response.
I suggest to go to Real MAZDA OEM parts and first see if that emblem is studded. Most of the letters and are taped but the emblem is likely to be both studded and taped. Removing it will expose holes that go through to the inside compartment of your MAZDA.
