Oil Change Due - but it's not???
So basically relax you will get it taken care of at your next service and it is now a record on your Mazda !
For other this is interesting because so many of you not only with your Mazda but I know your other vehicles will often drive several hundred or more miles and go weeks or longer when the engine check light appears but you don't see or feel any issues. What you all don't realize is the ECU keeps what is called clocks and or Timers that record how many cycles or engine starts from cold overnight sitting you go before the DTC is resolve (not just cleared).
LOL I get so often when customers come into the shop and while I am scanning their vehcle to write a work order they tell me the engine check light just appear a couple days ago. But I look at the counters and it will often show the true story, like a dozen or more engine cycles since DTC activation. LOL But I never show that to the customer I just note it in my own code on the service order.
