Hello Everyone, I bought an OBD2 scanner, and also a separate cable ordered separately, but I can not do anything read so that can not connect to my computer or tablet, and the light on the scanner lights red, the question is, where should I connect the scanner? only under the hood, if somewhere is also another connection, see example cable, the other pic is my diagnosic box,,Thanks

It depends on what year model it is as to whether it has an OBD2 connector under the dash. You don't actually need a scanner to pull codes using the underhood connector. You jump GRD and TEN with a wire, turn the ignition on and count the check engine light flash's. You can check other systems like transmission by jumping different pins. 1 long flash = 10, 1 short flash = 1.

Disconnect the battery and step on the brake pedal and that will drain the capacitor in the ECU/PCM responsible for powering the memory with the key off. If the check engine light comes on after doing that it has a hard code which it detects as soon as you turn the ignition on.

Hello Hixx, yes I have a problem with my car, and that's something weird, it happened one or two times a week and one time, when I are driving on highway 120 km per hour, the speed drops suddenly down, when I step on the pedal, he comes back to life, what do you think it is? thank you in advance

It is obviously impossible to say without the vehicle in front of me and most people can't tell the difference in a misfire and fuel starvation but given that it is 15 years old I can give you possibilities and probabilities.
It has 2 ignition coils and 2 plug wires. If original I would replace those and check for oil in the spark plug tubes (vc gasket leak) I would clean the MAF and throttlebody. Replace the fuel and air filters and throw a can of good injector cleaner in the gas tank. All of those items are maintenance items and are in no way a waste of money.
There is a possibility that it has a partially clogged converter or a fuel pump on it's way out among other things. This is assuming the transmission is not slipping as your description leaves that a possibility.
