I've been running a ford J80 for about ten years now . It is actually a rebadged Mazda Bongo with some unusual characteristics. It is a 1988 with a 1415 UC Mazda engine and m50 5 spd tranny I believe, never sold in North America imported from Japan. The engine cross references to an 81 Mazda glc when I need engine parts I order for a glc so far so good ! It's been a great truck rated 850 kgs puts my buds with f150s to shame they can't believe I can haul a yard of navi jack with no problem. The engine is getting tired so looking at a 1.6 fi Mazda in a 323 early 90s. Wondering if the my tranny will bolt up ? I'm prepared to make engine mounts and modify as neccisary if she bolts together. Any advice or suggestions greatly appreciated!
