I recently bought a used Mazda 6 model year 2004 and the model is European. At the shop i noticed that the trip computer wasn't functioning correctly and i asked the salesman about it and he just said that sometimes when a car is cleaned inside it can cause such problems, but it should start working by itself. Now I've had this car for one week and still the trip computer hasn't started working correctly (sometimes it has showed more and sometimes less in the screen. So my question is: could really time heal it or should i try to fix it? It also would be nice if someone could tell me how can i remove the trip computer so i could see if it is fixable by myself. Its toast. There are some repair shops out there. Otherwise buy a new or 2nd hand unit. Its a common problem.
