Default Mazda 3 Gas cap affecting Car Starting

I have a 2006 Mazda 3. It seems every time I fill up with gas I have to play around with the gas cap in order to start the car. It is getting worse. Is there a quick fix for this or do I have to have the car serviced.

Thanks

how many miles does your car have on it? if its less then 50k call a local Mazda dealer and have them run a VIS on your car, if its under warranty just have them diagnose the car and replace the fuel cap. Generally the fuel cap doesn't cause the vehicle not to start, your most likely needing a purge valve as well. The purge valve is likely stuck open and the fuel cap letting air by is causing a lean condition and not allowing the vehicle to start. If you would like you can send me your VIN number and I will run you the mazda report and email it to u.
