I downloaded the PDF for my 2020 CX-9. The manual is dated 2016. Nothing changed in 4 years!? I am just trying to get the right PDFs for my vehicle. I wanted to find out how to add a location where I was parked to my list of favorites for navigating. Thanks in advance,

 

Assuming the 2016 manual is for the TC chassis, then yes, its correct, also assuming its an up to date revision. The online versions we use at the dealership are automatically updated as needed, ie new fixtures/specs or corrections.

 

I would expect that every time they updated it they would change the date?

 

At the MazdaUSA.com website, the Navigation user's manual for the 2020 CX-9 (PDF file) looks to be the January 2018 update (print5).

For adding a location where your car is parked to the list of favorites, and for updating the "Home" (or any other) favorites entry, it looks like that's described in Section 3.4, at pp 72-73 of the manual.
