Made in Japan?
 
Hi all,

Just wondering if all the Mazdas are made in Japan? Was think of getting new car soon.

Mazda6 and Tribute are made in America (Flat Rock, MI and Kansas City, KS)

The easiest way to check is by the VIN (Vehicle ID #). Look at the first digit, if it is a "J", then it's made in Japan. If it's a "1", then it's USA..."2" for Canada..."3" for Mexico....and so on.

Weren't the B-Series built in St Paul, MN for awhile? I know its closing down, but I thought they were built there

Actually, it's KC, MO. The Kansas City, KS plant is a GM plant where the new Malibus are built.

mazda 3's are from japan, and the cx-7's i believe...
