Hey thought it best to put this here to help. Was driving at 60kmph and all of a sudden loss of power. Pumping the accelerator and nothing happening. Stopped car, turned off and on and it resolved. Had husband tape it from passenger seat, pedals and speedo’s. Happened next day and day after that. Took to Mazda Service and it works out it was the LIM - speed limiter! This stupid button is on the right hand side of the steering wheel!!!!! Dumb place to put it. Luckily I had the video and it showed up on the screen as 30km LIM - I’ve obviously bumped it and set the speed limit to 30km without noticing.

Don’t waste your time going to Mazda Service. It’s a non issue and easy to fix.

Hope this helps others. (The buttons are within the are of the same buttons you use to set cruise control and why on your steering wheel, I don’t know. Imagine doing 100kmph then dropping to 30kmph all of a sudden, by accidentally bumping it and the person behind you rams up the back of your car!! Because it’s loss of power and they wouldn’t see your brake lights. Seems like a serious safety issue to me)

Side note: take videos (if safe to do so), it helps and the service guy said ‘the sales people should really be telling you about the important buttons, instead of the sound system’
