Default HELP!! MAZDA FAMILLIA 1999 no go when warm

Hi all. So having a big problem with the mrs's car. Shes threatening to sell it with a fault for a fraction what its worth without a fault. Car starts and runs/drives great when its sat for at least 2 hours. Try to start it between 1/2hr and 1 1/2 hours after shutting it off from running temp and it will just turn over. Battery is great, voltage while cranking is great, NO SPARK. Seems to have fuel pressure when cranking it. havnt checked if injectors are pulsing. Did fault codes- only knock sensor comes up now, did have crank sensor fault code also so replaced this with a new $200 one but this didnt fix the problem. Cant see that knock sensor would cause a no start, even if it did mean it would run it rich. Weird part is when it runs it could run all day no probs, its ONLY after stopping it for a while as above. Had a clued up garage look at it and they couldnt find the fault either, but it didnt fault for them either. It wont fault for me nearly as much as for the mrs. Soldered a bunch of connections on ECU last night, along with testing the fuel and main relays. ANY IDEAS????

kia Ora, Faulty Cam sensors are getting very common on the Familia's. Resistance goes too high when they get heat soak.
