HELP HOLD LIGHT FLASHING FEAR OF BEING RIPPED OFF AGAIN

Can anyone help. Im mechanicaly challenged and Im sure every dealership knows it. I would appreciate some advice before Friday when I ut my car in and watch the $$$$$ go out the window. I have a 1992 madza mx6 1992 6cld had it serviced with a new airhose replaced about 4 weeks ago. I mentioned that it was running fine except when I stopped at the lights it felt like the car wanted to stall I was advised that is was due to the air leak and I needed to replace the air hose. 3 days ago the HOLD light started flashing and it seems to have difficulties on first attempt starting. any Ideas. Sorry this looks like a novel
