freakin thermostat

Default freakin thermostat

does anyone have a clue where in the world the thermostat for my 93 mx6 ls/v6 is located because i cant seem to find it anywhere, and the haynes book for it doesnt show a good picture. so plz if any one can help me out here i would appreciate it thanx.

It is located down below the distributor/throttle body area. You will need to pull the air cleaner housing off to get access to it. Follow the lower radiator hose from the radiator to where it attaches to a metal pipe. This pipe is the thermostat housing cover. Will post a picture as is easier than trying to explain.

another quick question anyone plz i need to know asap.after i pull out the houseing of the thermostat how do i pull the actual thermostat out if anyone can plz help me.thanx

bluemx693 just grab it and yank it out. Is not held in with anything. the outer rubber seal may stick a bit but will pull right out with a little tug!!
