Default Heads Up Display Problems

My first thread, please be gentle. I've been looking around for previous threads and found a thread from 2017 that no one responded to, so I'm hoping in the past 2 years, someone has figured out what's going on. Here's the original post.

"I am the happy owner of a 2016 Mazda 3 GT; my third Mazda 3! My only problem has been with the heads up display and is infrequent. About one start out of fifty, the display with rise up and then immediately retreat back into its cubbyhole or sometimes it doesn't deploy at all. A restart will clear the problem. It's not a serious problem, just annoying. One time I was able to drive to the dealer's service department so they could see that the display didn't deploy. They fiddled with the settings but couldn't resolve the problem. They tell me that they have no known fix for this. Has anyone else experienced this problem and was it resolved."

I've had mine for 3 years now and have talked to the dealership several times. They said it has to do with the weather and it being too cold, but we're in the middle of the summer and it's happened 3 times this week. I posted this in the general tech forum vs. the Mazda3 forum, because I would think this could happen on all models with the HUD. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
