Does a mazda rx8 engine shorter then most other car engines? I have 13k budget

13k budget planning to buy a coupe so
I had my eye on the used 2003-2007 mazda rx8, thinking its a great car, but reading about it, it drinks oil and gas. So it has its downs, im alright with it burning gas....

But then i did some more reading told me the mazda rx8 engine has a short life compare to other cars and breaks down and has alot of problems after 60k milage... while most other cars 60 milage is considered a half life
Since most mazdarx8 used 2007 and under have around 60,000 milage already, it kinda beats the deal.

People have also told me, that a Mazda rx8 isnt a car to be used everyday also, not just from one source but many other source....... so with 13k i reconserdered maybe getting a Acura rsx 2005-2006

So what are you persepctive on this, feel free to give me information, correct my wrongs...
