When I purchased my CX-5 I remember thinking that if the display screen goes out everything goes out. Well it has happened. Working fine and parked to go to supermarket. When I returned to vehicle I started car and put into reverse and the reverse view came on for a split second then screen went to black. Now the steering wheel audio controls do not work. The radio does play but can not change stations and the screen is essentially non functional. And when car is now started the Mazda logo comes up on the screen and after a while the "5 *****" come up for just split second then to black then the Mazda logo and it starts all over again.

Is there some sort of reset button....I hope, I hope.

Anyone else have this problem. I did a search on forum and could find nothing.

 

Very common problem.

Go see Mazda for a CMU software update.

 

Note to moderator....CMU could not be reprogrammd and must be replaced. Not in stock so unit ordered,

 

Being a 2016 Model, isn't it still in warranty?

 

Vehicle purchased December 2015 so still under warrantee. At dealer now waiting for install. Service tech told me that lately a lot of these units have failed in various models that have an infitotainment system. Apparentlt they do not reprogram but just replace the CMU module


its have
