Window stickers and what the actual production numbers for the complete production year starting in 2025 for the 2026 model is not been published by Mazda. They may and as many auto manufacture do change specification mid production year.
Window stickers are by no way empirical information for a complete production of any model Mazda. Its only the window sticker for that specific and physical Mazda.
Mazda does not post all the possible changes in a production model until they are ready to advertise that information.
I have yet to read and I am not really looking (and don't care) for factual information (not advertisements or information from a window sticker of a new Mazda owner on another forum) from Mazda direct that indicates any trim level specification that will remain exactly that for the production year. Please post that if you have a full documentation from Mazda. other wise its more speculation and assumption that verifiable facts.
Point37 here is another example of your poor fact-finding information....This is the most viewed Mazda forum of its type on the internet as far as members and visitors. More individual will come here and actaully copy many thread informational and repost it on other Mazda forum with slightly changed wording. The date history of those members that do that on those other forums supports this information. I know this as I get a chuckle when mine get reposted and re-worded LOL ondersma80 you are nothing but a troll. You weekly activity and where and what you looked at each time you logged on just waiting to respond in a thread I posted in. Obvious dude troll hahahaha !!
For those that do not have the setting to follow a member please look at his profile posting history how he trolls specific threads more often then not.
And read how he will defends this comment I made about him! But sadly for him the profile history can not be changed. lol
Ok have fun with responding to more unverifiable information.
Hi kalisto. I see we are both listed as senior members. Don't worry, you can still be troll champion. I'm only discussing facts published by Mazda. Other forum members have confirmed cars seen in showrooms, review first drives are already up online, owner(s) are reporting cylinder deactivation and I stop in their car 2026 cx-5. Mazda has published the specs and builder online and both show cylinder deactivation and i-stop. I'm not sure what the desperation is to say it's not there when it is since the technology works great. Of course they could change that mid-year or in the next model year. The fact is they didn't; the 2026 CX-5 launched with cylinder deactivation and I-stop.

This is the most viewed Mazda forum of its type on the internet as far as members and visitors.
please post empirical data proving the above statement as compared to all other mazda forums...the stats (thread count, member count and post count) from the forum i found this info on are higher than this one...does not directly prove daily forum traffic but is a good indicator and i do see more new threads there than here typically
like i said, i-stop is stated as a feature in the 2026 owners manual which is directly on the mazda website, not sure how much more proof you need...cylinder deactivation is not listed in the 2026 manual as far as i can tell, but other individuals have confirmed it's presence...what trims have/don't have each feature is what needs to be confirmed at this point
Off topic:
senior member is simply a responding count and if you actually read all about this forum when you joined it does not take many responses to become one. Lets see you have and I will say a good percentage causing interests and many off topic responses direct soley to me??? "trolling" and many other responses with not the best information and less then supportive of this forum equaling 137 responses.Hmm....... lets look mine 10 thousand two hundred and sixty eight responses. 10,268.
rolmao
You have started 4 thread and more or less asked for advise and help to which I did. Lets look at mine, no asking for help and all 29 threads started that were either most information threads to help members or a few personal threads.
Maybe the last couple members *Point37 that likes to dig up older and challenging threads ( I bet whenever there is a lake or river with still waters like to toss a rock in just to cause the ripple effect) and *odrman80s you that just disrupts a few threads? Does *they own a 2026 Mazda with cylinder deactivation or work in a service shop specifically Mazda and services them?? As of this posting not either and as one member even states not being a car guy in his signature?? makes you wonder??? lol
Back on topic;
What some claim as facts is nothing more than advertised information, window stickers. and specific vehcle published to date specification. And you should really look at the publishing date as well the disclaimers about them. No one (that I have read on any Mazda forum and I belong to almost all of them) has actually contacted Mazda Corp with direct questions and posted those results of direct questions like those presented in this thread.

ChatGPT is a great translator for anyone else that needs help deciphering...
ChatGPT prompt:
please rephrase this so it makes more sense "<insert quote above screen shot from previous post>"
ChatGPT response: Off topic:
“Senior member” is just based on post count—and if you read the forum guidelines when you joined, it doesn’t take many posts to reach that level.
Looking at your activity, a good percentage of your 137 posts seem to be either directed solely at me, off-topic, or what I’d consider trolling. Some of the information you’ve shared hasn’t been very helpful or supportive of the forum.
Now compare that to my activity: 10,268 posts.
You’ve started 4 threads, mostly asking for advice or help—which I’ve tried to provide. I’ve started 29 threads, most of which are informational and intended to help other members, along with a few personal ones.
It also makes you wonder about some of the more recent participants—like *Point37, who seems to enjoy digging up older or contentious threads (kind of like tossing a rock into still water just to create ripples), and *odrman80s, who tends to disrupt discussions.
Do either of them actually own a 2026 Mazda with cylinder deactivation, or work in a Mazda service shop? As of now, it doesn’t seem like it. In fact, one member even states in their signature that they’re not a “car guy.”
bet 70% of those 10,268 posts simply state "welcome to the forum" ...anyway, carry on denying reality about i-stop and cylinder deactivation being installed on the 2026 cx-5...and last i checked a majority of people on this forum are not car people or car enthusiasts...judging by thread titles, most are just people trying to fix their cars so they don't spend time and money getting screwed by a dealer or mechanic...i assume some users don't even return until they have another problem...does that make them car people, not really, just thrifty and smart...could probably put up a poll to see what the numbers are
OFF TOPIC bs from MR no Point to it and often wrong Point 37

You are to totally wrong. Its funny you notice that I do Welcome if I can every new member But now that you mention it you should try to welcome more new members. Hence the reason... WELCOMING NEW MEMBERS. I started to do this years ago on this and other forums when I noticed many newly joining members not getting acknowledged and their threads not being responded to. It called courtesy. Try it sometime. I also would suggest that you take a math class because your assumption about how many times I welcome new members since I joined 8 years ago is 499. Of that I also responded to 352. But just taking the 499 that makes it less then 5 % of the 10,270 responses on this thread. Or 4.85881207% rounded up so you can understand 5% LOL Now if we subtract the welcome and responding ion the same response it is now 3.42745862%
You are correct only that many that join are here only for service related help. Get help and most NEVER return. And this is also information available on the forum. But you are obviously one that is paranoid in life that thinks people naturally will get #SEE RED BOLD IN YOUR QOUTE about your intake on customer service from dealers and shops. When summing it all together you assumption is so many owners of vehicle as you worded it that they are quote.. "screwed by a dealer or mechanic." is from an individual that has no cluse and thinks it must be a gathered conspiracy with service shops world wide? rolmao.
This must show a personality disorder that goes beyond thinking its just service shops that take advantage of customers, more likely any service one can think of. That called Persecutory delusion
Persecutory delusions are false beliefs that others intend to harm you.
It is still wildly silly there are still a few people that believe this Mazda3 guy is currently some miracle tech. Look at how many posts he makes. It's all day, every day and mostly negative, critical troll stuff. Put it all together. Does the "story" make any sense?
People here have posted links and screenshots from the Mazda USA website indicating the 2026 Mazda CX-5 has cylinder deactivation and i-stop. Another member posted the specdeck sheet Mazda published indicating the 2026 Mazda CX-5 has cylinder deactivation and i-stop. Members posted cars in showrooms waiting to be sold have it. Reviews by professional reviewers like motortrend and car and driver indicate it has it. The owners manual has a section on I-stop behavior in the Connect 3 system.
Even with all that, this guy takes to trolling arguing he has seen no evidence - no reason, just to entertain himself because he has nothing to do. Yes, disclaimers say Mazda can change specs at any time. Sure, they all say that. But the evidence they provide right now are the facts and if they make a change, great that is new facts.
I think it all comes back to people heard something about policy and thought it was real. Unfortunately, these people are slow to learn what they say rarely matches reality.
You know at some point thease last few response will get deleated because they are off topic and that there is not really anything new to post about this threrads subject materail.
Maybe because you cant read you should look at the hundreds of pictures I have posted belonging to me? Even a kindergartener can figure out I must know and have a lot of experience in vehicles. You on the other hand.... most would only go
I do have time because unlike you I am good no great at what I do for a living and as such can pop on forums through out the day to read and respond on forum and threads most of the time to correct bad information from members like you.
Lets look here. Since you joined, I seem to have been helpful to you in more than a thread or 2.
In one no one really even wanted to help you except me?

I'm not surprised to see cylinder deactivation and i-stop on all 2026 CX-5 models. Having increased the size slightly if they dropped both of those the silly EPA tests would drop even more and fuel economy would start to deter buyers. Here is a video of someone driving the new 2026 CX-5 confirming the specs and advertising Mazda is putting out. The confirmation is at 9:29 - for some reason the "start at" link isn't working.
