clicking noise from rear left tire?
Hey everyone. :) I'm new to the forum & this is my first car, so please bear with me.
I'm the owner of a 2002 mazda protege dx. I like the car so far and it drives pretty decent. However, I started noticing a clicking kind of sound coming from the left rear tire. The noise generally happens when I'm going at least 25 - 30 mph or making a turn(doesn't have to be a sharp turn either). I had to get that tire replaced as well, but I wasn't really paying attention to the noise because at that point I had not heard it yet. I only noticed the noise when my window was down. I'm planning on taking a look at it this afternoon to make sure nothing is hanging or in the tire tread, and I've read that its possibly a wheel barring or cv joint? Does anyone have experience with this? Thank you! (: |
first thing to check for is stones in the tyre tread.
Wheel bearings hum not click. Knackered shock is a posibility as they seem to be made of chocolate |
Thank you, :)
I ended up taking it to meineke and I need both the CV Joints done and I ended up getting the.water pump & timing belt done yesterday. Both the mechanic said the cv joints could wait another month or so. The click is barely audible. |
