My check engine light just came on just as I turned 140,000 miles on my 1990 Mazda B2200. Everything seems fine but the light came on just as the miles went from 139,999 to 140,000. Is this for a standard check like I have read other places or could be a problem?

I had an Emissions test done yesterday before the light came on and everything passed fine.

 

Go to the closest Autozone to you & have them pull the code (they will do it for free). Post what the code is & we can help you from there.

Well the guy at Advanced Auto parts said that he only had a OBDII code reader and Auto zone was the same way. He said he needed an OBDI code reader to read the 1990 Mazda truck I have. Said his OBDII reader only goes back to 1994 or 1995.
