BSM and other functions not working after battery disconnect
I have a 2010 Mazda CX-9.
Based on advice found on the internet, I attempted to clear a Nav system issue by disconnecting the battery (Nav system was clicking / not reading Nav disk - a separate/related issue in a 2nd post). Before the battery disconnect, the BSM and other functions were working fine. After the battery disconnect, BSM is not working (and the Nav/Entertainment system screen is displaying an error message that it cannot read a program). My questions: Does the BSM in any way depend on the Nav/Entertainment system being up and running? Assuming "no" to the above - how can I re-set the BSM after the battery disconnect? Are there other systems that require a re-set after a battery disconnect? Thanks in advance for your help! |
When you say the BSM isn't working, what is actually doing or not doing?

False alarm...
Sorry, False alarm on this question. BSM switch was turned off (must have accidentally hit - and was close to timing of other issue mentioned - so jumped to wrong conclusion...)
