I just bought a 95 626 4cyl for $150 at the dealership I work for. It would barely run, cleaned the MAF sensor and fixed that. Then I noticed that the auto transmission has a whine, squeal or buzz just of idle and gets louder with higher rpm's. Sounds similar to a power steering pum with low fluid. This car only has 88k miles runs great shifts through all gear normal. I think I have heard a similar noise when filling a tranny while running that was very low of fluid. That kind of makes me think maybe the filter is clogged. I think the car has been sitting up for a few years, Maybe one of you Mazda Gooroos (spelling?) can shed on light on this for me. I'm a 20yr exp Mitsubishi ase mastertech so dont be afraid to get technical.
