I installed thousands of FRAM PH filters, never a failure, In all those years only saw one defective filter, a no name knock off. I have sold Baldwin, Wix, Fram, Hastings, Luberfiner and never a issue. On our Mazda's CX-5 and 3 Sport, doing my own service it's been K&N,Wix,Fram and Mazda OEM with M1 or Pennzoil Platinum Oil's no issues. Bottom line buy good oil and install good quality filters with reasonable intervals you are not going to have problems with or without Anti Drain Back Valve.
