2016 CX5 GT SD card reader
In 2016 Mazda moved the usb and aux in to in front of the shift knob, there is an SD card slot. My question is can you plug in an OEM card and have navigation?

Yes.
Everything is pre-fitted/preloaded. All you do is buy a Genuine Mazda SatNav SD card and your away laughing. |
Thanks

Can anyone send me a pic of there navigation map on? Mine is gray and wondering if it's supposed to be. It's not colorful like other gps's. Just wondering if this is normal,I have no greens kmizok13@gmail.com. Thanks, just curious to see if it's normal

I don't know what brand Sat Nav is fitted in your country, but for NZ & OZ the old CX5 was colourful Tomtom & the newer 2015 ( 2016 in USA ) is a rather bland & horrible looking colour.

Yes I plugged in my so card and it loaded quickly and then agitation worked. Just a very boring color background this year:(

2016 CX5 Touring model; I thought I read that you needed the SD card (located aside of USB ports) and a module (located in the panel which is located in front of the drivers left knee). Someone please confirm this. Thanks!!

Nope. Things changed for the facelift.

Check your manual, I have the 2016 Mazda 6 it has it under the arrest next to the USB ports, the previous models had it at the left hand side of the steering wheel.
