2008 mazdaspeed3 needs diagnostic help
I have a bone stock 2008 mazdaspeed3 with about 30,000 miles. It recently started spewing white/blue-tinted smoke once in a while, when its idling. The smoke has an interesting smell. Its not sweet and doesn't burn your throat. I can't tell if its coolant or oil or water or a mix. I bought it new and It has had full synthetic oil changes every 3000 miles since I got it. It used 30 weight every time except the last change i tried a 40 weight but it didn't fix the problem. I have no loss of performance, and no check engine light. I took it to the dealer and they told me it might be from the oil weight, oil burning off in the turbo or improper cooling of the crank case but they couldn't recreate the symptoms. Anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong? See a video of the problem at

any ideas on what is wrong would be much appreciated, thanks.

looks like another smoking turbo to me. extremely common problem. get it fixed before your exhaust gets filled with crap from the smoke. if the stealership won't fix it, take it to another one. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=2008+ms3+smoking+turbo
