Hi all, my 2004 Mazda Tribute has issues starting after the engine is warm/hot. It either just clicks or cranks once as though it has a flat battery. When the engine is cold it starts fine. It's only after the car has been driving and the engine has warmed up. The battery is in good condition. It seems to be engine temperature related as though the starter motor doesn't work when it gets heat from the engine? Can anyone suggest anything?

 

Sounds like your starter motor is dying.

 

It's kinda what I expected as well. I'm happy to change it to eliminate it but they're pretty pricey and just wanted to see if others have had that as the issue, so I'm not unecessarily replacing it.
