Im looking to buy an exhaust kit for my mazda 6 but i dont really want the dual pipes comin out. i've got the 2.3L four-banger and im wondering if i could just buy a mazda 3 exhaust kit n not run into any problems. its the same engine right?

The way it winds under the car I could almost guaranty is different, plus the cars are different lengths and widths.
You could always have a muffler shop do the work and tell them what you want done.

Yes, basically, but everything else will be different.
Different exhaust manifold, the cars are built on 2 different chassis, one built in America (your 6) and one in Japan (the 3 series.)
I doubt they would even be close to the same.
