1.8 4x4 mazda running gear, what engines will fit???

I've bought an Asia Rocsta for some reason, still a bit of a mystery to me really. The engine works, well, having said that it starts and in the academic sense of the word something vaguely resembling internal combustion occurs inside the engine, its got everything you need for a disco, lights, sound, smoke.. Its rescuable because its just desperately overfuelling and needs a carb rebuild but my lawnmower has more power.. so.. Now i believe the rocksta usues B2000 4x4 transmission, i haven't the feintest what'll fit and i can't seem to find any info anywhere. I know Ford probes use 2 litre Mazda engines and the V6 duratec engine would be ideal if it'll go, anyone know if a 626 V6 will swap straight in (by this i mean match the bellhousing, the rest isn't an issue for me, i'll quite happily introduce my jeep to an angle grinder and a welder) If not any idea what'll fit? B2000 engines aren't easy to get hold of and i'd rather have efi than carb to retain some fuel economy (i live in the UK, fuel tax is steeper than vertical).. Thought about a proper conversion and stickin a v8 in it but it'd probably spontaneously explode or something with the relentless power of a v8 luggin at it[>:].
any help or suggestions greatly appreciated!! Thanks for taking the time to read my post:D
