Not sure where else to go because I've exhausted talking to my local Mazda dealership and Mazda US customer service line. Essentially, I got a 2011 Mazda used awhile back. I had recently taken it in because of the lovely heat shield issue that loves to happen every winter. This time I got pointed out a different thing. Basically, I live in a state where the recall was not covered (Nebraska), and unfortunately this car pretty much suffered the exact same issue. I was effectively told that it would not be repaired at cost by Mazda. I just wanted to alert to any other potential customers in the Nebraska area. Mine was a 2011. Due to lack of response on Mazda's, I've simply filed a report to NHTSA. Here are the recall numbers 19V323 / Mazda Recall 2818I I know that there's probably not a lot of these still around but I just don't want to have someone have the same experience I did. I was fortunate that I had to have ironically some break work done when the mechanics were checking the front side an found the gaping hole.. The Mazda i had had no history of it being in any of the other states listed in the recall.

Hi, I have a 2008 (or 2008A) Sport 3 with just under 200,000 k on it. It has been SO reliable, no trouble at all, I have maintained it well and am not hard on it. But it has some bumps and bruises on it so I got an estimate from a body shop to beautify it. I love the car & want to keep it for another 100,000k, that will last me the rest of my driving days because I drive it just 6 mos of the year, have a little summer car as well. My dilemma is, the repairs are about the same $ as the value of the car! It's in good enough shape I could get about $8000 for it. But I Don't want a different car, think this is probably better quality than a new one and I don't want to spend on a new one. The repairs are mostly cosmetic, loose bumper, some chips to blend/paint. If you loved it, would you spend the money on it?

I just picked up a 2006 Miata MX-5 Grand Touring and am looking for a reputable repair shop with a qualified tech that has experience with older Mazdas.

Hi All New Member here.I recently bought a 2022 Mazda CX5 2.2 Litre diesel.I had looked at some reviews online and all looked good. People are now telling me that I made mistake buying the diesel version.

1.Has the issues that occurred in earlier models such as problems with seals, cylinders etc which could lead to engine failure been resolved.

2. With regard to maintenance I understand that too many short journeys cause DPF regeneration problems.
How often does the DPF need to regenerate. Is it after so many kms.?

3. Will I have to get a carbon clean at some stage.

Any views welcome
