Contacted many refurb wheel shops, no luck. Mazda says discontinued in 2012. A fair number of fully machined ones out there, but none with these dark pockets.

This Water... My - 2008 Mazda Tribute 2.3L I Touring - began overheating and I found that a hose connection on the Water Outlet (replaced 6 years ago, by a local shop) appears to have snapped off. This Water Outlet doesn't seem to be the correct part for my Tribute since I cannot locate another that looks like it. I think the shop used an alternate. Not very happy about that. It has a braided hose with cap coming from it that says SERVICE ONLY. What kind of service would this require?

Anyway, laying loose underneath the outlet was this random, very dry rotted hose. It's about 15 inches long and hooks over on one end. It's very pliable and is about as thick as a fuel line for a lawn mower. It has a clamp on it that seems to indicate it was attached to another hose for stability.

Does anyone know what that boxy looking part is, or what the other end of the hooked hose would attach to? And what kind of SERVICE would the Water Outlet require?



I found where I believe this hose broke off from, but I'm not sure what that part is - or where the hose connected to at the other (hooked) end.
The part I believe it was connected to on the straight end is a large box looking part that is located directly beneath the battery. It has a big sticker showing: (the leading 8I could be 81, HI could be H1)
