And how easy it is to make a catastrophic mistake. When I was learning to write the logging file for my EVO a full stop instead of a comma made it work or not. I haven't dived into the later LS GM ECU's because I don't have a car to play with. I can't imagine the number of interacting maps in the Skyactive ECU. I just love the 1/2hr flash tunes done for big money by some of the so called professionals.

Regardless before you have anyone do anything to your ECU make sure they are able to FIRST download the complete ECU so you have an uploadable back up. Any advise that it is not needed or the calibrating LOCKING your ECU is not advisable and indicates an armature ECU calibrator.


Going to any forum the answer is still the same or at least should be with real qualified ECU/EFI Performance Calibrators and not just random people claiming they know how to Calibrate an ECU. .
And I would be very cautious of what advise you get from them!
At least on this forum you get empirical information that can be fact check to support the information.
