We have a 2007 CX-9. The wife and kids are 800 miles away on vacation and the engine computer seems to have kicked the bucket. The local dealer there says that engine computers are back-ordered nationally until no earlier than January 9th .... WTF!!! I interpret this as Mazda has had a lot of failed engine computers which has seriously degraded supply. Has anyone else had this experience? What compensation can I expect to extract from Mazda USA for the cost of flying them home and then returning in 2 weeks to get the hopefully repaired car? Isn't capitalism supposed to ensure that stock outs like this don't happen?
