Went to fill up my CX-9 with gas yesterday at 1/4 tank. Was able to put in less than 2 gallons and gas started backing up, spilling over, and cutting off gas nozzle. Tried another pump and same thing happened. I can't put more than 1 gallon in at a time. Less than 14K miles on this car. Any idea what the problem might be?

 

If it were me I would take it to the dealer as it is still under warranty.

 

I had to have my tank replaced on my 06 Mustang, would do the same thing, took me a good 20 mins to fill up the car, was just a defective hose/tank inlet on my car...........and my moms 05.......... Ditto to the dealership since its warranty.
