Default plastic transfer from trash can to clear coat, how to fix

A plastic trash can in my garage rubbed against my mazda and left that "mark" which is usually like a transfer of the rubber/plastic it is molded from. I tried claying it out but it didn't grab anything, do you think it may actually be a scrape to the wax or clear coat layer? I was going to attempt a wax today but the wax I got didn't come with the applicator so it is delayed while I get one.

Why not try some acetone on a microfibre towel and see if you can remove the mark. My guess would be it is plastic swipe on top of finish, and not within the clear.

Good luck,

Pat

Looks like just some good ole elbow grease did the trick, plus some wax as it pretty much scraped everything to the clear coat.
