center console discolored-cleaning options
i have a dark gray leather interior 2019 CX-9. But, the center console lid is a rubberized vinyl looking material. I've tried armor all and mothers back to black (which works great on the exterior plastic trim). But, neither really do anything to address the discoloration and/or dried out appearance.
Any other ideas?

Welcome to the forum
The unfortunate thing is if you let it go to long without cleaning it on a regular basis, not letting the sun and heat get to it then there really is not much you can do to restore the finish. You can make it look better but it will need you to be more diligent at apply cleaning. You can get DRESS-IT a Protectant brand that you can get locally from a dealer. Here is a number that can help you .Tell them what part of the Sacramento area you live in and they will give you a dealer that may even come to your house?
Protec-it 1-800-366-5661
BTW the Dress-IT is fantastic on all leather and soft material in your Mazda

thanks for the suggestion.
for better or worse, I'm terribly picky and fastidious. It usually takes me 2 hours to detail the car every weekend. So, it has regular cleanings and applications of product. The rest of the vehicle still looks new. it's just the center console lid. That's the only place in the whole interior that has that particular textile and it's just starting to break down I guess. Even with tint and windshield sun blocker, I'm afraid the 120° interior heat the Sacramento summers throw at it takes its toll on synthetics.

LOL kidding nice to see someone that post a cleaning freak like myself.
Nice! ya, you have issues ;-)
Every time wildfire season comes through I dread cleaing out the underhood. Fires are usually (knock on wood) over 100 miles from me. But, we get all the soot

I am close to Sacramento but in a slightly city area at the base of the Sierra mountains.

FIRES..... yes, they are a PIA. I believe I get them before Sacramento does. Nevertheless PIA. Cleaning the engine compartment is actually easy I am sure you even still have the factory air filter system, so you don't even have to cover anything like I do. If you look, I pressure wash my engine about every 2-3 months and also the complete undercarriage every 5k miles when I rotate the tires. The biggest thing I recommend for you in this are clean or replace your cabin filter frequently. Minimum every other month. They are very inexpensive buy the Amazon or Rock auto cheapest brand. No need for any special filtering expense just changes more often with the inexpensive ones. Or buy a Lifetime you clean it with water and simple green K&N Cabin filter. If you are parking your Mazda when working and the sun hits it I suggest buying an aluminum windshield cover. Takes about 10 seconds to put up and the same to pull down and roll up. While the window tinting is great the area that is not tinted will cook the interior parts.
