Is it just one speaker that crackles? Then it's likely a bad wire.
Are all the speakers crackling? Then it likely the volume control inside the radio.

Replace the speaker wires. What else could it be?
Is there something in the door that starts to rattle? A rattle does not sound like crackle.

Is the speaker magnet touching anything? Remove the speaker, and go through the motions to hear if the crackle stays or goes away.

Leave the wire in place, disconnect it at the speaker and at the radio. Route a new wire from the radio to the speaker.

1 of my speakers crackled, and it didn't after i turned down the bass.
Physically look at speaker, if it's cracked you'll get crackle! and need a new one.
