Default I-pod installation for 05' tribute

My wife recently bought a I-pod Nano, and see would like me to connect it to her audio system in her 05' tribute. It has a 6 disc in dash changer, no cassette or mini disc option or satellite option. I'm not sure who it is supplied by because with out trouble codes stored it will not flash a supplier code. According to all data this seems to be a two piece unit.

My question is has any body set up an i-pod to a factory tribute radio, with out FM modulation and if so could you help me out with some resources and products to make this an smooth job. I'm hoping I can find an adapter to use the radio to control the ipod or at least make it play threw the the sat or MD channel.
Some back ground on my self is I'm an master technician of 6 years. However I'm in no way a audio guru, but I like wiring diagrams and drivability makes my engine rev.

thanks James

could maybe a mod move or link this to the tribute section I'm not getting much trafffic here?
