The Mazda 929 is an awesome full size luxury car. The 929 has been sold for a successful three decades, with production starting in 1973. The Mazda has shared its framework with the Mazda Luce, but generally, the Mazda 929 is in a class alone because its superior quality. The Mazda 929 has also been sold as the Efini MS-9. Importation of the 929 stopped in 1995 to the disappointment of 929 and Sentia lovers everywhere.
The final generation of the 929 was released in 1990. True to its past; the new Mazda 929 remained very roomy rear wheel drive. The great thing about the 929 is that is has V6 power which makes the car incredibly easy to handle. The 929 had several different engines available such as the 2.5 Liter V6, 3.0 Liter V6 with 160 horsepower, and the 3.0 Liter V6, DOHC 205 horsepower. Eventually the 929 was renamed the Sentia and it remained as popular as ever until importation stopped in 1995. Luckily, the Mazda 929 and Sentia hold up quite well so you'll still see quite a few of them roaming around the streets of the United States.
